Calling all artists and writers! PADC invites K-12 students to contribute to the 2026 Art and Writing Showcase! Be part of our annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration!

Piedmont Anti-Racism and Diversity Committee and the City of Piedmont invite you to the 29th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration on Monday, Jan. 19, 2026 from 11 am to 12:15 at the Alan Harvey Theater.

 In a speech in March 1966, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. called on people to never feel comfortable with any form of segregation, tyranny, or supremacy. In a speech in March 1966, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. called on people to never feel comfortable with any form of segregation, tyranny, or supremacy:

“I never intend to adjust myself to segregation and discrimination. I never intend to become adjusted to religious bigotry. I never intend to adjust myself to economic conditions that will take necessities from the many to give luxuries to the few.”

This is an in-person program, co-sponsored by PADC and the City of Piedmont.
