2022 PADC Art and Essay Showcase
Presented by the Piedmont Anti-Racism & Diversity Committee
PADC invites K-12 students to contribute art and writing to be showcased at our annual MLK Celebration, as well as be published in PADC’s new journal. All contributors will be entered into a raffle to win one of ten $25 gift cards.

THEME: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke of building “the beloved community” as one of the goals of the Civil Rights Movement. He called for a community that is inclusive, caring, and equitable — one that doesn’t have hate or racism. What does building a beloved community mean to you? How can we create an inclusive and beloved community in Piedmont?

SHOWCASE: January 17, 2022 at the 25th Annual MLK Day Celebration
HOW TO SUBMIT:
Entries can be submitted below or dropped off at the Administrative Office of your school. If dropping off, please download and fill out this form. and then attach it to the back of your work.
Submit a piece of 2D art or an essay or poem in response to this year’s theme.
Artwork can be of any medium but must be flat, scannable and no larger than 8.5 x 11 inches.
Writing should be no more than 500 words and no more than two pages.
Submit your best work! One piece of art and one poem or essay per student will be showcased and entered into the raffle, including ten $25 gift cards.
