Calling all artists and writers!

PADC invites K-12 students to contribute to the 2026 Art and Writing Showcase! Be part of our annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration! 

All contributors will be entered into a raffle to win one of ten $25 gift cards.

DEADLINE:

  • Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026

THEME:

  • In his 1967 book, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. asked, "Where Do We Go from Here? Chaos or Community?" What do you choose? What would you like our future to look like?

HOW TO SUBMIT:

  • You can submit your work here or drop it off at one of the Piedmont schools (Wildwood, Beach, Havens, PMS, MHS or PHS) If you are dropping off, please download and fill out this form and then attach it to the back of your work. All students from any school district are welcome to participate!


* Submit a piece of 2-D art, photo, essay, or poem in response to this year's theme. 

* Artwork can be of any medium but must be flat, scannable, and no larger than 8.5" x 11" inches. 

* Essays should be no more than 500 words. Poetry should be no more than two pages.

Submit your best work! One piece of art and one poem or essay per student will be showcased and entered into the raffle.
