The Piedmont Anti-Racism & Diversity Committee (“PADC,” “we,” or “us”) cares about protecting your privacy. In this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”), we explain the data we gather from visitors to our website, how it is used, and who we may share it with.


The following types of information are collected from Visitors when they use our website:

Voluntarily Disclosed Personal Information. When you visit our website, you will have the opportunity to provide us with some personal information directly. For example, you have the ability to sign up for our email list, to volunteer to work with us, or to submit a message through the contact form.

Whenever you visit our website, we automatically receive and record anonymous information from your browser, which may include your IP address, geolocation data, device identification, the type and configuration of your web browser, or the last page you visited before accessing our website. Some amount of sharing is necessary for PADC to operate our website, and to comply with the law. The following organizations, entities and individuals may  have access to the information described above:

PADC and Its Contractors. Members of the PADC team, and some independent contractors retained to support our work, may have access to visitor information as it is reasonably needed for the operation of our website and or completion of our work.

Third-Party Service Providers. We may employ other companies and individuals to perform tasks on our behalf as part of the operation of our website. We will share your information with them only as is needed for them to provide such assistance. These third parties do not have any right to use the information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us.

Aggregate Information. PADC may share aggregated, non-personally-identifiable data derived from website visitor information for any operational purpose, including for analyzing usage behavior or to help identify new partners, programs, and opportunities.

Business Transfers. If PADC is acquired or merged by another entity, goes into dissolution, or otherwise transfers ownership or assets, we may transfer user information as part of that transaction.

Legal Compliance. We may share information if we believe, in our sole discretion, that such disclosure is necessary in order to comply with any court order, subpoena, or other legal process, including an order to respond to any government or regulatory request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of PADC members or others.


When you provide PADC with your email, we will automatically add you to our mailing list to receive periodical updates. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of each email. We use Wix as an email provider. You can review their privacy policy here.


In the event that we decide to change this Policy, we will post those changes on our website so that visitors can remain aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it. The effective date of the current version will be posted at the top of this Policy. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for updates.
