2023 PADC Art and Writing Showcase

Calling all artists and writers!

 

Be featured in the annual MLK Day Celebration!

All contributors will be entered in a raffle to win prizes.

 

PADC invites K-12 students to contribute art and writing to be showcased at our annual MLK Day Celebration.

THEME: When Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, he said,

“This call for a world wide fellowship that lifts neighborly concern beyond one's tribe, race, class and nation, is in reality a call for an all embracing and unconditional love for all men.” What does this mean to you?

HOW TO SUBMIT:

  • You can submit your work here or drop it off at your school (Wildwood, Beach, Havens, PMS, MHS or PHS) If dropping off, please download and fill out this form. and then attach it to the back of your work. 

  • Submit a piece of 2D art, photograph, an essay or poem in response to this year’s theme.

  • Artwork can be of any medium but must be flat, scannable and no larger than 8.5 x 11 inches. 

  • Writing should be no more than 500 words and no more than two pages.

  • Submit your best work! One piece of art and one poem or essay per student will be showcased and entered into the raffle, including ten $25 gift cards.
