The Appreciating Diversity Film Series
The Appreciating Diversity Film Series hosts free screenings of diversity-related documentaries, followed by community conversations and local speakers. ADFS hosts six screenings each year, and each film is shown in both Piedmont and Oakland. The Film Series was founded in 1997, is a volunteer-run non-profit, and has received significant funding from PADC since its inception. see more at diversityfilmseries.org"
The mission of the Appreciating Diversity Film Series is to bring powerful documentaries that examine issues of diversity to community audiences. We aim to provide a venue that stimulates community dialogue about institutionalized power imbalances, broadens awareness, challenges assumptions, and encourages our audience to work toward a more just world.
